Male Teachers and will send them to Universities/Colleges FOUR (4) YEARS

The Institute for
Responsible Citizenship is currently accepting
applications for its summer program at George Town University in Washington,
DC. Each Summer Twelve of the most promising young minority male college
students have the chance to travel to the nation's capital and engage in
prestigious internships while taking rigorous classes at Georgetown. The
courses in government and economics are designed to provide these young men with
... adhering to a deep respect for Civil liberties. When the students are in
class or at work, they are often called upon to attend social function designed
to help them network in their field. Personal meeting with such ... possible by
the intimate nature of the program.
The Program runs form June 3-July 28 and is a TWO-SUMMER COMMITMENT
(accommodation ... on the quarter system). During their first summer, student'
primary responsibilities outside...their academic courses. The following summer,
in addition to their internships, mentorship ... Institute students and young
high school students becomes a priority. TUITION AND HOUSING are covered by
the Institute, while students are expected to pay for their transportation and
food. In addition ... internships will receive stipend in the amount of
$2,500. While there are no major requirements ... on attracting young men
interested in the fields of law, politics, business, academics, and ... a
sophomore to apply, however juniors are considered if they are committed to
attending.... school directly following their senior year.

Queens Scholarship Programs
- ADELPHI UNIVERSITY - CECIL K. WATKINS SCHOLARSHIP.
- The Adelphi University/Cecil K. Watkins Scholarship for Community
Service will be presented in 2007 to deserving students who have been
nominated by the Elmcor Alumni Association, Inc., in honor of Cecil K.
Watkins.
- Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 annually and are based on
demonstrated outstanding service to the community and strong academic
records. Continuation of the scholarship for four years is contingent upon
the maintenance of an academic average of 2.5 and ongoing community service
during undergraduate years.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- A completed undergraduate application for admission to Adelphi
University for September 2007.
- Essay on your involvement in community service, including time
devoted and impact on your life.

Special Note: The Faulkner and
Johnson Scholarships - A letter of intent will be made to the awardees prior to
the actual distribution of the cash award. The awardee must provide an
acceptance letter from the college, a bursar's receipt and a class schedule. The
Faulkner and Johnson scholarship winners (one each), will receive a $1,000 cash
award.

It's that time again. Available Scholarships - Need More Minorities to
Apply.
Even if you do not have a college-aged child at home, please share this with
someone who does. Though there are a number of companies and organizations that
have donated money for scholarship use to minorities,
a great deal of the money is being returned because of a lack of interest.
Help to get the word out that money is available. Our youth really could use
